Adenauer 'the best German' - poll.
BERLIN, Dec 05, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of West Germany after 1945, has been chosen as "Germany's Best" in a nationwide television competition.
More than one adult in 10 voted in the contest, that saw the Christian Democrat and staunch Catholic Adenauer placed ahead of Martin Luther, who founded the Protestant church in the 16th century, and Karl Marx, who founded communism.
