Lest We Forget: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was best known around the world for the non-violent social strategies he brought about during the Civil Rights Movement. On January 15, 1929 Michael Luther King, Jr. (later renamed Martin) was born to Baptist Minister Michael Luther King and school teacher Albert King in Atlanta, Georgia and was raised in the "Sweet Auburn" district. He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia with a B.A. in 1948 and in 1951 graduated with a B.D. from Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, PA.
