In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.: From humble origins, King parade has grown to biggest in the nation
From its humble beginnings 20 years ago, the Miami-Dade County MLK Parade has become America's largest celebration of the birth anniversary and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Organizers say attendance has increased an average of 20 percent each year, reaching over 570,000 last year.
The celebration features an eclectic, international, array of over 500 marchers, dancers, marching bands, floats, celebrities and others from around the country and abroad.
