I'd like to create an elective course for juniors and seniors based on literature of the Old West-Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, Ambrose Bierce, Jack London, and so on. Any ideas?

ANSWER: I showed an original Lone Ranger episode with the sound off. The students wrote what they thought was happening. We then discussed their ideas before I showed them the episode with the sound.
