Boxer moves to Jack London Square

NOVATO -- Sen. Barbara Boxer has sold her Marin County home and moved to a condominium on Jack London Square in Oakland and a home in Rancho Mirage near Palm Springs.

"We needed to downsize," Boxer said after moving out of her home of 38 years. "I have a son and daughter-in-law in Oakland. My husband's office is in Oakland. It made a lot of sense for us to move."

But Boxer, who cut her political teeth in Marin County, said she will continue to work on issues affecting the county: transit, the coast, the environment. "My love of Marin won't end," she said. "It will be in my heart forever."
