OAKLAND -- A growing chorus of neighborhood groups wants more time to comment on a massive Jack London Square development project.

Some neighbors say the project plans are too cumbersome to comprehend within the allotted 45-day comment period, and that discussions at planning commission meetings are too skimpy to evoke meaningful conversations.

As a result, they have requested at least 45 more days to comment.
