South San Francisco set for new ferry service to Jack London Square

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO -- Within two years, workers commuting to this city's biotech companies may be crossing the Bay by ferry.

The South San Francisco City Council gave unanimous approval Wednesday night to the design for a new ferry terminal touted to become a future landmark in the area.

"The terminal will make transit a mode of choice, not a last resort," said Boris Dramov of San Francisco-based ROMA Design Group.

Councilman Mark Addiego said he was excited about how the terminal would "shape the area."
