Port Selects Developer For Jack London Square

The Port of Oakland Board of Directors have voted to enter into exclusive
negotiations with a Los Angeles-based company for the $240 million
redevelopment of Jack London Square.

LCOR Public/Private Inc.-WDG Ventures which designed and built the Sony
Metreon in San Francisco, was unanimously chosen by the port's board
February 1.

John Stainbeck, senior vice president of LCOR, said that he was "ecstatic"
after the selection.
