Character Analysis And Theme

There are many characters in the novel White Fang, but the only important
ones are those which had a definite influence upon bringing out the theme of
the story. Jack London was trying to show that an animal is influenced by its
environment. This means that if he is in the Wild, he lives according to its
rule of "eat or be eaten." If others are mean to it, the animal will be mean
in return. However, when it receives love and kindly treatment, it will return
love and loyalty.
