The University of Georgia issued the following press release:
Gary Scharnhorst, Distinguished Professor of English at the University of New Mexico, will deliver the Eidson Lecture at the University of Georgia on Tuesday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m. in room 265 of Park Hall. The lecture, titled "In Defense of Literary Biography," is sponsored by the Department of English and is free and open to the public.
Scharnhorst's lecture will focus on the continuing relevance of authorial biography in literary studies, including recent discoveries in the lives of such American writers as Horatio Alger Jr., ...
