The lavish live-action adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's much-loved children's novel is a real treat to kick start the new year.
Matt Lucas is Mr Toad, the aristocratic amphibian with a love of fast cars, with Bob Hoskins, Mark Gatiss and Lee Ingleby as his best pals Badger, Rat and Mole. Not a bad hangover cure, either, for the grown-ups.
