Movie Review: THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS
Kenneth Grahame's 1908 classic children's fantasy appears a bit
unwieldy under the brittle treatment by Monty Python regulars. A
live-action adaptation tells the adventures of Toad, Rat, Mole
and Badger in their vulnerable riverside environment. But
excessive slapstick often displays them as "Three Stooges"
characters with British accents. Performances seem too
sophisticated for youngsters. With Terry Jones, Eric Idle, John
Cleese and Michael Palin.
