This Thanksgiving Day means more than appreciating his wife's perfectly roasted turkey to George MacDonald, more than mom's best greens to Douglas Henderson, more than seeing her family feast on her celebrated tamales to Josefina Robles.

The terrible events of Sept. 11 have put Americans in all walks of life in touch with all they are truly thankful for. Los Angeles area residents, clergy members and community leaders expect to set their Thanksgiving tables today with renewed gratitude to God - for life, for one another.
