Flashman On The March George MacDonald Fraser

THIS escapade takes in a comparatively minor side-show from the Imperial funfair: the Abyssinian campaign undertaken by Sir Robert Napier in 1868.

Flashy eagerly accepts his Foreign Office chum Speedicut's commission to ride shotgun on Napier's cash supply. Though still avid to couple with any presentable female under the age of 70, he now seems more intellectually aware than in earlier outings. A lavish return to form for Flashy - satyromaniac, poltroon and astute observer of the Victorian scene.
