Last year Harvard University Press published The Notebooks of Robert Frost, an 809-page volume edited by Professor Robert Faggen. Now, thanks to a review by James Sitar, published in Essays in Criticism, the British literary journal, a squabble has broken out about the accuracy of Professor Faggen's transcriptions. Mr Sitar, the archive editor of www.poetryfoundation.org, examined four of Frost's notebooks which are held at Boston University.
