New Hampshire: Summary:
This long blank verse poem shows a Frost not seen in poetry like "Out,
Out-," "The Black Cottage," or "A Tuft of Flowers." The speaker begins by
listing people that he has met recently, people who have been selling things.
There was a lady from the South who was ashamed because none of her family
had anything to sell; a man from Arkansas who boasted of the apples and
diamonds for which his state is famous; a Californian who tried to "sell"
his state's climate, and another poet trying to sell his own ideas.
