Five Poems From North Of Boston
Introduction:
North of Boston, Frost's second book, was published in London in 1914
with sixteen poems. Though he had been living and writing in England for
several years, this book like the one before it is native Yankee stock. It
contrasts with A Boy's Will, however, in being a "book of people" rather than
of lyrics. Dramatic narrative and dialogue dominate the work. Tragedy and
comedy, failures and triumphs, are depicted against a background of New
