The most widely publicized of the numerous emendations in Edward Connery Lathem's Poetry of Robert Frost (1969) is the comma inserted in line 13 of "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" (224). The poet-critic Donald Hall made the early case against this now infamous "comma":
