SPEARS RECEIVES ARMY'S FIRST $1,000 RECRUITING REFERRAL BONUS

The U.S. Army issued the following press release:

Staff Sgt. Consuelo Spears received the Army's first $1,000 recruiting referral bonus today in a ceremony at historic Brown Parade Field.

The check is the first one issued under the Army's new referral bonus program that began Jan. 18. Command Sgt. Maj. Frank Norris, U.S. Army Phoenix Recruiting Battalion, presented the award.
