SOME actors complain that working on a soap is demanding. But former East Enders actress Daniel a Denby-Ashe, who spent four years in Walford as Sarah Hills, found her latest role in a period drama was more challenging than you might expect.

The My Family actress is starring in new drama North And South on BBC1 starting on Sunday, based on the novel of the same name by Elizabeth Gaskell.
