IT WAS 9:00 IN THE MORNING WHEN I entered the Knoxville Convention Center on Saturday, March 24, 2007, for the Discovery Institute's conference on Darwin and Design. Attendance fluctuated throughout the day, but averaged an impressive 700-800 people. I took a seat near the front. After some introductory remarks, apologetics writer Lee Strobel opened the day.
