The insurance market remains soft because supply exceeds demand. Regulators, competitors and the public are demanding that insurance be delivered cheaply, putting more pressure on commissions, increasing volume requirements and reducing the demand for agents. Only those agencies that make effective use of technology and focus on strategic planning will survive.
