My grandson and I went to the opening of the Syracuse International Film Festival at the Landmark Theatre to see "The Last of the Mohicans."
This silent movie was made 72 years before he was born (and nine years before I was born). James Fenimore Cooper published the novel from which the movie was taken almost a century before that.
The showing at the Landmark was beautifully accompanied by an original musical score played by a symphonic orchestra directed by its composer.
