British actor Paul Bettany thinks it was his role as the screaming Geoffrey Chaucer in "A Knight's Tale" that first captured America's attention. Bettany, 33, followed that up playing the mysterious friend in "A Beautiful Mind" and the ship's surgeon in "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World."
But it's his latest role, as the aging tennis champion in "Wimbledon," -- which opens Friday -- that will probably make him a star.
