Geoffrey Chaucer, who lived 200 years before Henry Purcell wrote his lyrics, was the godfather of English poetry.
The Canterbury Tales author, who wrote the stories of pilgrims on their way to Canterbury, used humour throughout.
Musically, My Lady Greensleeves is probably the most famous piece of early music - but no-one knows who wrote it.
It's often attributed to Henry VIII, written when he was crazy about Anne Boleyn.
But some historians say it is Elizabethan and others say, if it was Tudor, it was probably written by Henry's favourite writer, Dr Robert Fairfax.
