Ephrata Area Community Theater's upcoming production of "A Little Princess" is one of three recent adaptations trying to make it over the moat of community theater and into the castle of Broadway.
The Pennsylvania premiere of a new musical version of Frances Hodgson Burnett's 1905 children's classic will be staged Dec. 3-12 in Ephrata.
Burnett (1849-1924), also known as the author of "The Secret Garden" and "Little Lord Fauntleroy," is in the public domain these days, with copyright on her work long expired.
