'A LITTLE Princess" may be ready for the Bay Area, but it sure isn't ready for Broadway.
More than four years in the making, this musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's beloved children's novel has been part of TheatreWorks' New Works Festival with an eye toward taking it to Broadway.
Indeed the entire creative team is New York-based and is steeped in Broadway experience.
Director Susan H. Schulman and set designer Heidi Ettinger collaborated on "The Secret Garden" (another musical based on a Burnett novel) and the most recent revival of "The Sound of Music."
