Chicago is fortunate to get two bloomings in one season as "The Secret Garden" returns, this time on the Pegasus Players' stage.
The Marsha Norman-Lucy Simon poperetta, based on the Frances Hodgson Burnett children's classic, is the heart-tugging Victorian tale of a young girl whose British parents die in colonial India. She is dispatched to her only living relative, the brooding widower Uncle Archibald, who rattles about his manor on the windswept English moor.
Together they learn to love life again, thanks to the magic of the manor's secret garden.
