Harry Potter fan mia has reached 100-book target

Bookworm Mia Saunders has been awarded a Gold Booktrack prize at Exeter Central Library.

Eight-year-old Mia, a pupil at The Maynard School, Exeter, ploughed her way through 100 titles to win the award.

She completed the task in eight months, reading lots of children's classics such as CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia and modern books such as the Harry Potter series.

Her top choice was Frances Hodgson Burnett's 1909 classic, The Secret Garden.

Mia went to the library every month to discuss her latest reading matter with a librarian, collecting stickers along the way.

Now she's reached 100 books ...
