The Aristotle Corporation (Nasdaq: ARTL) announced today net income for the second quarter ended December 31, 2000, was $122,000 or $.06 per basic and diluted share, compared with $114,000 or $.09 per share during the same period in 1999. Excluding the $121,000 impact of the amortization of goodwill, second quarter earnings would have been $243,000, or $.13 per diluted share versus $171,000, or $.12 per diluted share, after excluding the $57,000 impact of amortization of goodwill, for the three months ended December 31, 1999.
