The Aristotle Corporation (Nasdaq: ARTL) announced today net income of $228,000, or $.12 per basic and diluted share, for the three months ended September 30, 2000, compared with $102,000, or $.08 per basic and diluted share, for the same period last year. Earnings for the three months ended September 30, 2000, excluding the $68,000 impact of amortization of goodwill related to acquisitions, would have been $296,000, or $.16 per diluted share versus $160,000, or $.11 per diluted share, after excluding the $57,000 impact of amortization ...
