NEW HAVEN, Conn., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Aristotle Corporation (Nasdaq: ARTL) announced today net income applicable to common shareholders of $114,000, or $.09 per basic and diluted share, for the three months ended December 31, 1999, compared with a loss of $85,000, or $.07 per basic and diluted share, in the same period last year. Earnings for the quarter on a pro forma basis excluding the $57,000 impact of amortization of goodwill would be $171,000, or $.14 per basic share and $.12 per diluted share.
