NEW HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Aristotle Corporation (Nasdaq: ARTL) announced today net income of $178,000, or $.16 per primary share, for the fourth fiscal quarter ended June 30, 1997, compared with $1,201,000, or $1.06, primary earnings per share and $.87 fully diluted earnings per share, in the same period last year. The 1996 fiscal fourth quarter and year results included one-time income of $1,650,000 arising from a favorable settlement with the FDIC over tax and other issues.
