STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Aristotle Corporation (NASDAQ: ARTL; ARTLP) announced today its results of operations for the second quarter of 2004.

For the three months ended June 30, 2004, net sales increased 3.8% to $44.6 million from $43.0 million in the second quarter of 2003. Earnings before income taxes increased 11.1% to $6.1 million from $5.5 million in the 2003 second quarter, and net earnings increased to $3.7 million compared to $3.3 million. Net income applicable to common stockholders in the second quarter of 2004 was $1.6 million, or $.09 per diluted common share, ...
