Principles Of Argument:

To show the relation of terms in a syllogism it is not enough to know
what your terms are. They have to have something in common one with the other
which will serve as the basis of your picking those particular terms in the
first place. You cannot reason without some common ground of argument.
Earlier, we showed that Aristotle held there were three kinds of syllogism:
The scientific syllogism, the syllogism based on opinion and conversation,
