A new Black Horse pub could be created at the former home of the woman who wrote the children's classic Black Beauty - as one of a range of new community facilities in Chichester.

The city council was told the firm overseeing development at Graylingwell Hospital - where some 800 new eco-friendly homes are expected to be built - had 'responded positively' to the idea.

The Graylingwell Farmhouse, unoccupied for many years, was the home of author Anna Sewell during the 19th century, and there have been many calls for its restoration.
