Israel's Technomatix Technologies Ltd. is buying AESOP Angewandte EDV-Systeme fur Optimierung Gmbh (AESOP), a privately-held firm based in Stuttgart, Germany, for $9 million in cash. AESOP develops and markets "SIMPLE++" software for planning, simulation and optimization of manufacturing plants. SIMPLE++ provides an on-screen view of an entire factory, enabling engineers to design complete plants, simulate their operations and identify potential bottlenecks.
