    Which edition of North and South?

    Hi,
    I just wanted to order a copy of "North and South" and found 4 different paperback editions by Vintage, Penguin Popular, Penguin Red Series, and Oxford. The Penguin Popular edition is very cheap. Is there anything against it?
    I just want to read it while listening to the Librivox audio.

    I don't buy Penguin Popular editions, mainly because the quality is not as good and there can be a few errors within the text (the ones that I read in the past contained them anyway, as do the cheap Wordsworth editions). I say you couldn't go wrong with the Oxford edition - they're always very good. But, then again, if you're reading it along with a audio version, maybe the odd error isn't critical...
    "...You are not wrong, who deem
    That my days have been a dream;
    Yet if hope has flown away
    In a night, or in a day,
    In a vision, or in none,
    Is it therefore the less gone?..." E. A. Poe
