    shoes

OK, I usually buy very cheap shoes, mainly second hand but also just really cheap ones at markets. they don't last very long, maybe one winter if I'm lucky. I bought about 2 months ago warm shoes for the winter in a red cross shop and they are already ruined. I found this website:http://www.vegetarian-shoes.co.uk/ai...n/10856_p.html the shoes you see are exactly what I want! I fell for them in an instant. I have been looking at all the shoes on this website for two days now!

my thoughts are, is it wise to buy shoes over the internet? I have never done this before and they are expensive plus shipping... my brother bought two pairs from this website two years ago and he loves them and they are still in great condition... but I don't know, this is a lot of money.....

have you guys bought shoes over the internet?

I think it is risky. I have been given boots as gifts, but they were from a manufacturer that the gift-giver knew I liked. They fit fine. However, I have personally seen size discrepancies (and plain and simple discomfort) happen from shoes made by companies I hadn't bought from before.

If you can return them, and get shipping refunded, then Why not try? If shipping isn't that much, and you really want to try them, and the price would get refunded, then it might be a good risk... Maybe... (If they have a good reputation.)

But if something just looks and sounds good, and there aren't any reassurances about returning stuff, I'd be VERY cautious about buying them without trying them on. Really, I just wouldn't do it.

(and, no, I haven't bought shoes over the internet, but I would consider it if the company was one I often bought from, and my size had been consistent with them. But that situation hasn't really happened, I can always find plenty in the stores...)

    TRYING ON AND RETURNING SHOES
Please Please Please! try shoes on INDOORS with socks.
If you do not like them or need to change them for a larger or smaller size, please return them in PERFECT and RE-SELLABLE CONDITION, (without being worn outside), marking the package "RETURNED GOODS" and enclose a note explaining action required. Please package the shoes when returning rather than writing on the box, -often the original packaging can be reused. We despatch a second pair at no extra postage cost (UK only). Overseas customers must also send return postage.
Sounds like you can return them if you need too. I bought roller skates over the internet which I had to return because of sizing.

Yes, well, that sounds good apart from the fact that Helga is actually in Iceland, if I am not mstaken?

I personally have never bought anything like shoes on the internet. I find I should be able to try them on before I actually buy them, but if you are one of the lucky ones with easy feet,. Other than handbags, other clothing that I am sure of it will suit me and fit me...

true, I am in Iceland so it is kinda difficult to return but not impossible...
I bought them... I decided to buy them because you can't get really good shoes in iceland that are fake, except for maybe pleather and that isn't breathable and they get cold. I know these last cause my brother has bought from them and they are made of the same thing...

I just have never fallen for shoes like this before! and I bought them a bit to big so I can put insoles if I have too... I will probably blog about them when they arrive

I've bought shoes from catalogues before now, and I've never had any problems. I don't know if the same applies to the internet, but I would have thought it likely - particularly because the website looks quite professional.
