King/Koontz genere - What's the name of the book?

I'm going crazy...Can't remember the name of a book. Please help.
It's like a King or Koontz book about a radio message that turns people into killers and the travels of this small group that meet with others that are not affected while skirting areas and people that are. They end up at a gathering where they beat the bad guys...

On another note...If you like page turners, The Breach, one of the best turners I have ever read. 98 stars out of 100 !!!

Sounds like King's Cell, though it's been four years since I've read it.
