Fortunately, I didn't sleep last night. I got to see what I hadn't seen in a very long time, and I realized how intact it is, and how much I miss it.
I suppose it could be considered childish to get offended because being dressed in our national costume (or rather a look-a-like) means being "dressed as if she were about to compete in a yodelling contest", according to an Australian newspaper. I just want to say.... I am teaching Animal Farm to years 7 and 8 ( 12-14 year olds) and its so unbelivably cool that I actually have kids who are enthusiastic about it... to the point where though I had said nothing about russians or commnuisim they decided they had to read Old majors speach out loud in dramatic false Russian accents ( including some weird mustache twirling) I was in stitches
