Right now I am eating a packet of Twiglets and drinking an outrageously overpriced red wine from the Languedoc region of France. It is called La Sauvageonne les Ruffes 2008. I bought it because I like to try wines from outside the more established regions such as Bordeaux and Burgundy. It is very good despite the price.

Nothing. I've gained a few pounds this passed month (missed too many gym workouts) and have given up my nightly snack. At least for now.

Tonight I'm eating a small salad with a bottle of Soave from le Collezioni of Pasqua. Not bad at £6.39p a bottle. I have just finished the salad and will complete my meal with a packet of smoky bacon crisps a packet of salt and vinegar crisps and a pack of roasted salted cashew nuts.

Baked BBQ chicken and buttered peas (on the stove right now), all over white rice and a nice cup o' ice water, which I will eat while watching either Jeremy Brett solve a mystery I will very likely have read already or "Pierrot Le Fou". Which do you think would go better with my meal?

    That sounds real good!
I couldn't recommend either since I am not familiar with either.
I would have suggested either watching "The Waltons" or listening to Burl Ives.

As for me, I consumed my hotel's happy hour meal of "Buffalo Wings" catered from Hooters, along with fresh veggies and a glass of Merlot.

I have just finished eating some raw cashews and japanese crackers with two tins of strong lager beer. I have another tin of medium strong beer waiting and am just deciding whether to open it or not. Maybe I should go back on the whisky again instead of drinking so much beer.

    This pain?
    This pain is nothing.
    I have survived far worse.
And I can endure much more than anything you could possible offer.

This is a little belated as I have just finished all edible and drinkable substances. However. for the record, I have just eaten a plate of Thai noodles accompanied by a bottle of Brise de France, vin de pays D'oc Cabernet Sauvignon 2008. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Currently I am eating some savoury biscuits with duck a l'orange pâté and drinking Carlsberg Export Lager.
