    The new puppies.

Hobo, a stray we found.. Such a creative name, I know.

Oh, No!!!! He is so real and so similar to mine that I starded missing him so badly! I`m not at home right now and can`t wait to stroke and hug my little things again.

Did you manage to make Hobo socialized?

I know that loosing a four-legged friend is almost as painful as loosing a human friend. I hope you get over.

Yes. He was quite friendly - more socially inclined than the cat we had since kittenhood, actually. Would play with the dogs after a couple weeks (originally he hated them) and ended up sleeping in the bed of who ever had their door open.

Yea, it was one of the few times I cried. I'm over it, sort of. I still miss him and all - he was born three months before me, and was my best friend until I was like ten - but he was in pain, had cancer, so I had a way to reason with myself regarding his death.

That is one very happy cat.

Absolutely. He makes sleeping (his favvy pastime) look so nice that you can't wait having a (cat)nap yourself...

A few temporary pets. A family of Raccoons took up residence in the woods by our creek. My son had lured them in with dog food and bits of scrap food. They have since moved on.

All the pictures touch my heart, but I think I have a soft spot for the raccoon, Gilliatt. I thought maybe you took that picture.

Millie continues to charm, BrianBean; Azazael, the puppy-what can I say? What a beauty.

Olga, I enjoyed the Purina All-Stars clips. It would be hard to claim a favorite there. Your little neighbor cat, so dignified and wary. Your heart goes out to them. Cats are often mistreated, far more so than dogs.

Claes, I think you've posted pics of that little guy before-what a huggable, loveable little hunk of fur he is.

Yes, he really is, and you are right: There are pictures of him all over the place... He is not in the least camera shy, so...

The pictures are indeed wonderful, but be careful what you wish for: Racoons are smart, and would be quite capable of causing all sorts of problems if they got loose over here.

Yes, a similar thing happened when the American grey squirrel was introduced into Europe where it has virtually wiped out the native red. In fact, the only place that I have seen red squirrels is in the Zentral Friedhof in Vienna. However, whatever their disagreeable habits may be, raccoons certainly look very cute.

Yeah, that's right: I saw grey squirrels in Hyde Park last time I went to London. Up here, the red ones still reign, though.
