Delta come join us! Don't pass up a grouphug

Daf, you're just in time. It's a 24 hour lovefest and the party doesn't even start until Jer gets here.

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.

The whole of this - Haunted's poem and everyone's response - is wonderful! Makes one doubt the virtualness of this virtual community.

It's so true, the friendship I made here are totally real to me.
And you Prince, you are the poet next door, I look for you every day as you make the rounds from thread to thread. I was waiting for you, thanks for stopping in!

You lot aren't just names on a screen, in my 'umble opinion. You are as real as everybody else, but in some ways more special because of the distances involved. This is my passport to Australians, New Yorkers, Canadians...... and even Jerry!!! It is as real as anything else. End of serious bit. (Except about jerry!) *Shuts up*

    this is such
    a great poem
    who could imagine
    that writing simple
    sentimental sentences

    broken with line breaks
    and stanzas
    could result in
    a work of absolute genius
    such as this

    this is just as moving
as when I woke this morning
    to my alarm clock beeping.

And I feel the same degree of appreciation
    for you,
But I got to work anyhow.
    Thanks for that.

    This is as wonderful as
    a greeting card
    and just as original.

    You have met our standards.
    Congratulations!

I feel the same way too Daf, it's truly more special — I share more with you guys here. I mean, if I show my stuff to people "out there" they would actually think my writing is trashy

I'm so touched lallison. What you wrote is even more amazing!

Scrreeeeeechhh. Jerry pulls up to the love parade with flowers in his hair, hold on that dont work, flowers behind his ears. kaftan afflowing looking for one of these group hugs. 'Nice work on the Mary Ode, Haunted.'
And, you lot, never, has so much secret love and respect been so badly kept secret.
(grabs a screwdriver and shmooozes about a bit). Any nibbles ? Im starving here!

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.
