Does anyone else find that pineapple makes their tongue and the roof of their mouth feel raw (by the way, that's what I'm eating right now)?

Yep. Raw pineapple makes my tongue raw. Around my mouth gets very sore and itchy when I gorge on it too.

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.

I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?
