Post I'd like to Be quicker than that!

    Hi,
well I really need some help in looking for the hidden meaning in poems
I don't catch them up quickly, yet it is important to me to be able to do so
So, will you kindly refer to some things, tips, website or books that may help me

    Thanks Alot,
    Blue Sea

You just want to get yourself some good books on reading poetry and go from there.

Something like this sounds useful for you (though I've not read it personally):
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reading-Poet...0762762&sr=8-1

If it's too costly then just head to a decent library and dig around and of course read a lot.

What area exactly are you having an issue with? One of the best ways to figure out a hidden meaning is to think of what certain things represent or are associated with. Take Cats for example and then think of all the things they are associated with. cats fighting could represent women fighting. Spider diagram the word and then see how those associations you came up with can fit into the context of the poem.

"If it looks like a Dwarf and smells like a Dwarf, then it's probably a Dwarf (or a latrine wearing dungarees)"
