Worst book ever?

I have seen the broadway show, heard the music, and read the book. I for one believe that anyone who isn't madly in love with Erik should spend a couple of days (if they don't die after the first one) in the torture chamber, and then be punjabbed! Just kidding! But in all seriousness, just look at how strangely put together his charatcter is. I wish that i could read his mind just to see how it works. You can only imagine what goes on up there. He was so clever and smart, it sooooo makes up for his looks. Plus, who wouldn't want a guy that would fall to their knees for you and cry with you, love you, and just want to be loved in return for who he was!?

I found this book confusing at the begining because of the multiple characters. As the end neared I was able to keep the characters straight but i wondered about what happened at the beginning, i was still very confused about that. On the back of the book it says the Prologue is interesting and will make you want to continue reading but i found it painfully long and slow. I did think it was cool how you never knew weather the gohst existed or not. I am glad i finished it as it was a summer reading assignment.

the first time i read it, i read this new american interpretation... it's kinda wierd.. but anyway... i also forgot to read the Prolouge... *smacks head* so of course, well, it's ALWAYS confusing at the beginning, no matter hwo many times i read it through... well every tiem i read it something new will pop up. but anyway... by the time you reach the end, you've forgoten the back.. so what do you do? You go read the whole thing through again.. haha.. or pick your best bits. But it really helps if you read it through again from the begninng, you'll end up seeing things you've never seen before. And um, some one fill me in on this, am I a fast reader or soemthing? Cos i can finsih it in like... 3 hours. No seriously... and i'm only thirteen.

First of all this book is awesome! I have never seen the opera but I'm sure it cannot do justice to this story. How could you call this book the worst book ever? Leroux makes you wonder the whole time whether Erik is fact or fiction. Erik is sinister yet gentle and very cool with his glowing yellow eyes. All the characters have a complexity to them that just makes the book so loveable. Someday I would love to see the opera. I will be forever enamoured with Erik's story. And lastly the music rocks!

How could you possibly call it that?! It's awesome! Erik is such a genius. Sometimes I wish I could read his mind and see what's going on in it!
