I absolutely loved this book. I have only read the abridged version, but am happy to find it here. I've never met an equal for this book. I was so happy when I found the version I had read in the bookstore and bought it right promptly. What a magificent story! A masterpiece!

What a wonderful book....both of my children, ages 16 & 17, are reading this novel in English this term. They both agree that it is the best book ever that they have been required to read and believe it or not, they are reading this novel every spare minute they have. (And these are teenagers who normally spend their spare time talking on the phone to friends!) I am half way through reading this book myself and I agree, once you start you will not want to put it down!
