Okay well Daniel is just one of those boring Western Judeo-Christian names, but I've got somewhat of an interesting story behind it: My mom being somewhat devoutly Catholic when I was born wanted to call me Daniel in reference to the Book of Daniel. My dad wanted to call me Daniel because it was the name of his best friend who died in a motorcycle accident and was also the name of his favorite football player Dan Marino (I latter one is doubtful lol).
