OK, here we go: Claes is a Swedish version of Nicolaus (of Greek origin), which I find pretty amusing when you connect the fact that I was born on Christmas Day, with the fact that the Greek Saint Nicholaus over the years have turned into the Anglo-Saxon Santa Claus: Father Christmas.

As it happens, my daughters name (Nicole) also originates from Nicolaus

    /Claes
One of my English teachers in high school was supposed to be named Nicholas, but when he was born on Christmas eve, his mother decided she didn't want his name connected to the holiday. The name she picked? Christian.

My name, Katrina, is the Finnish/Greek/Swedish/No one seems to know form of Katherine, thus officially meaning pure, but permanently connected to that little weather occurrence a few years back.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not.

Edit: OH! My name is a funny one. I get all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff.

    Google Result One:
The girl's name Carly \c(a)-rly, car-ly\, also used as boy's name Carly, is a variant of Carla (Latin), Carlie, Carol (English), Caroline (French, Latin, Italian) and Charlotte (French), and the meaning of Carly is "little and womanly".

    Google Result Two:
    Origin: German
    Meaning: Free man
    Origin: English
    Meaning: Pet form of Carlene

    Google Result Three:
The Meaning of the name Carly
The meaning of the name Carly is as follows: Female ruler
The Origin of the name Carly
The origin of the name Carly is believed to be: Teutonic

No wonder why I'm such a confused person!
I didn't know this ... In my culture lilly of the valley is the symbol of the spring ( one of them ). Sounds nice any way because we are born to die, after all, hehehheh.

Well, I'm a David, and that means 'beloved' in Hebrew. It's also as common as muck, but I prefer that... can't be doing with batty names...

My name is Frances, apparently that is supposed to mean free woman in some sort of something. Suppose that's alright.
For I have known them all already, known them all:
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
    I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;
I know the voices dying with a dying fall
Beneath the music from a farther room.

    So how should I presume?

My name is Hariol Acharya. Haribol means speaking god's name.

I hate my name and I hate its meaning, so I won't share.

I do have a literary name, it means pure. It sounds about right...it's all pure fiction.

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.

My real name means "as bright as as the sun" in bangla (I'm from Bangladesh). In some cases it also comes to mean "sun goddess".

My name means (Margaret) means "pearl" Kind of dull, but classy in a simple way.

It's old fashioned. This used to irk me, but I grew into it. I like old books, old movies, old music, old people. It's only proper that I have an old name.

You may like to know what I found:

Frances is the feminine form of Francis, which in turn is the English form of the Late Latin name Franciscus which meant "Frenchman". Now, according to one source (free online dictionary), the word French itself comes from Old English Franca, related to Old High German Franko, perhaps from the name of a typical Frankish weapon (in Old English franca means "javelin").

So we could say (maybe) that our Frances is a javelin

    Bad...very bad...

I know you're no hitman Max, but how could you be sure I'm not a hitwoman? If I tell you, I'll have to kill you
